input_id already (tries to) tag accelerometers as such, but this only works
for absolute accelerometers. Recent kernels mark accelerometers through an
input prop. Trust that prop and always tag devices with it with
ID_INPUT_ACCELEROMETER.
Note that detection by the prop bit works the same as the existing detection
and will ensure that no other tags get set on the device.

Also referred to as trackpoint, trackstick. These are marked by recent kernels
through an input prop. Forward that prop as udev property so userspace can
easily determine whether there is a pointing stick present.
These devices were previously marked as ID_INPUT_MOUSE, for backwards
compatibility we keep that in place, the new property is an addition.y

The structure of the source tree is basically correct and this is
about as far as we can go without hacking at the C code.
|

This commit is a first attempt to isolate the udev code from the
remaining code base. It intentionally does not modify any files
but purely delete files which, on a first examination, appear to
not be needed. This is a sweeping commit which may easily have
missed needed code. Files can be retrieved by doing a checkout
from the previous commit:
git checkout 2944f347d0 -- <filename>

to recheck the journal manually for changes in regular intervals
Network file systems generally do not offer inotify() that would work
across the network. We hence cannot rely on inotify() exclusiely in
those case. Provide an API to determine these cases, and suggest doing
manual regular rechecks.
Note that this is not complete yet, as we need to rescan journal dirs on
network file systems explicitly to find new/removed files

341 is only valid for x86, so don't use it for other architectures.
Add the correct numbers for ARM and PowerPC while at it.

AC_CHECK_FUNCS may be successful, even though name_to_handle_at and
'struct file_handle' are not available.

"__NR_name_to_handle" should read "__NR_name_to_handle_at". This
fixes a compilation error on systems with older kernel headers.

#pragma once has been "un-deprecated" in gcc since 3.3, and is widely supported
in other compilers.
I've been using and maintaining (rebasing) this patch for a while now, as
it annoyed me to see #ifndef fooblahfoo, etc all over the place,
almost arrogant about the annoyance of having to define all these names to
perform a commen but neccicary functionality, when a completely superior
alternative exists.
I havn't sent it till now, cause its kindof a style change, and it is bad
voodoo to mess with style that has been established by more established
editors. So feel free to lambast me as a crazy bafoon.
