From 76153ad45f09b6ae45464f2e03d3afefbb4b2afe Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek Date: Tue, 26 Jul 2016 02:19:33 -0400 Subject: journald: deprecate SplitMode=login (#3805) In this mode, messages from processes which are not part of the session land in the main journal file, and only output of processes which are properly part of the session land in the user's journal. This is confusing, in particular because systemd-coredump runs outside of the login session. "Deprecate" SplitMode=login by removing it from documentation, to discourage people from using it. --- src/journal/journald-server.h | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) (limited to 'src/journal') diff --git a/src/journal/journald-server.h b/src/journal/journald-server.h index e025a4cf90..d2a32ab422 100644 --- a/src/journal/journald-server.h +++ b/src/journal/journald-server.h @@ -43,7 +43,7 @@ typedef enum Storage { typedef enum SplitMode { SPLIT_UID, - SPLIT_LOGIN, + SPLIT_LOGIN, /* deprecated */ SPLIT_NONE, _SPLIT_MAX, _SPLIT_INVALID = -1 -- cgit v1.2.3-54-g00ecf
